To art post or not to art post..
Published 1 year, 8 months ago in My life.I started posting to the ‘nook’ with the intention of running a local arts commentry. I have drifted away from this as I don’t think I have hit the mark with content. What sort of art do ‘nookers’ get into?
I studdied art at uni and feel that I may not have yet appealed to you as the reader. Would you like more photos posted? Would you like to know about local artists?
Any help would be of benifit. At this point there is every chance I will give up the theme and go random. Not a bad option.

you can’t please all people all the time. why not tell of the community arts in the west. I believe they are quite active over there.
Do it! I think there is an audience. Besides, it’s early days for Nook, and maybe your content will help generate the sort of audience you would like?
I go to a lot of exhibitions at the two NGVs, Craft Victoria, ACCA, and the Museum. Plus a few smaller shows at galleries on Getrude St, Hogan Gallery, Bus 117 Gallery.
Ones I’ve particularly enjoyed lately have been the Margaret Preston and Howard Arkley retrospectives, both at the Ian Potter Gallery.
Change your Nook Title and go for it he said with the words ‘I don’t know much about Art, but I know what I like… And that’s Art’ passing through his mind!
LOL, meinrosebud! I suggest you take your own advice and post a grab-bag of different styles, and see what people respond to. Just be careful how much of your own work you put up - you don’t want people stealing your ideas!
Give it a go Luke. You posted one art topic, got no hits and did a runner. Artists are supposed to struggle for their work, it’s like an unwritten rule - one that has been written many times.
Your profile says you live and breath art, that your passion is art. Well write about art and comment on art and comment on politics, religion and panda bears via art. Just do it. I promise I’ll come take a look at your next overtly art-centric post.
