Nook and censorship?
Published 1 year, 9 months ago in My life.It seems that if you are anti-Howard the Nook admin team stops you speaking your mind. All I tried to do was to allude to Howard’s relationship with Bush being less than savory and my comment/s did not show up.
We do have decent free speech in this country, so it is a shame to have this occur.
Has this happened to any other Nook user?

Check those comments again. You’ll find the moderators were just a little slow of processing a backlog.
Dear Ghodzilla,
It is obvious from the many robust debates occurring across this site that the nook administration team is a major supporter of free speech. Admin will only act to protect the site (and its good members and visitors) from clearly offensive or legally dubious material. We will leave the politics to you.
Why is it always a conspiracy theory when people think they are not being heard or censored???
If i wasnt concerned that i could be seen to be greasing up to admin for an ipod, i would suggest that the nook that they have created is an invaluable community service, and that their alleged censorship seems to be working well.

Free speech is allowed in Australia. Be patient there is always a reason why something is not printed where you thought it was, or a time when you thought it should be.
I don’t think that Nook is anti Howard at all. In fact, I have read many comments that are anti Howard that have been published. I think like Admin have pointed out, your comment was in fact published, it just took a little time - I saw it.
I’ve been anti-Howarding up a storm with no probs. Others have been carrying right-wing flag. Seems downright civilized to me.
I think there should be more censorship in this country. Then again, maybe I shouldn’t be allowed to say that.
Nook is crap.
just testing.
